About the trip

An iconic landmark of the Bohemian Paradise with two towers, beautiful views and an easy trip for the whole family.

Trosky Castle is one of the most famous symbols of the Bohemian Paradise. The two towers on the basalt rocks are visible from a great distance, and a trip to them offers a combination of history, views and a pleasant walk.

A visit to the castle is suitable for families with children and for anyone who wants to get to know one of the most distinctive landmarks of the region. The path to the castle is not too long, but be aware of the ascent and stairs in the area.

You can combine the trip with other places in the Bohemian Paradise, for example with Prachovské skály, Hruboskalské or Kost castle. In good weather, beautiful views of the landscape open up from the castle.

The parking lot under the castle is busy during the season, so it is worth going in the morning.

Snacks

You can find refreshment options around the castle or in nearby villages depending on the season.

The best time

The best views are usually in clear weather. In the morning or later in the afternoon, the light is more pleasant and there are fewer people.
