About the trip

A mountain trip to the higher parts of the Krkonoše Mountains with beautiful views, open countryside and the Hanč and Vrbata memorial.

Zlaté várší belongs to the distinctive places of the western Giant Mountains. It offers an open mountain landscape, views, the atmosphere of the ridges and the possibility of connecting to other interesting places in the vicinity, for example the Vrbatova bouda, the Mound of Hanče and Vrbaty or the Labská louka.

The trip is suitable for tourists, couples and families with older children. Depending on the chosen route, it can be a shorter mountain walk or a longer hike. At higher altitudes, changeable weather, wind and colder conditions need to be taken into account.

Zlaté várší is a good choice for guests who want to experience the real Krkonoše mountain landscape without having to climb all the way to Sněžka. The most beautiful is when there is good visibility, when the views of the surroundings stand out.

Practical tips

Doprava

The journey by car is short, but the trip takes place at higher altitudes, so make allowances for parking and the weather.

Snacks

Refreshment options depend on the chosen route and the season. For a longer trip, take your own snacks and drinks.

The best time

Clear weather from late spring to fall is best. In fog and wind, orientation and staying on the ridges can be more difficult.

Appropriate footwear

We recommend sturdy hiking shoes, as the route may lead over rocky, wet or windy sections.

Weather in the mountains

Check the current forecast before departure. In the higher parts of the Giant Mountains, the weather changes faster than in the valley.

Plan your stay and explore the surroundings

We will be happy to advise you on trips and recommend the best places according to your wishes.
