About the trip

One of the most beautiful rock towns in the Bohemian Paradise with sandstone towers, viewpoints and romantic passages between the rocks.

Prachovské skály is one of the most famous and most visited places in the Czech Paradise. Sandstone towers, ravines, viewpoints and narrow passages create a unique landscape that will enchant nature lovers, photography enthusiasts and families with children.

On several marked circuits you will discover the most beautiful parts of the rock city – from a short walk to a longer route with viewpoints, staircases and romantic corners. The trip is especially suitable in dry weather, when stone steps and forest paths are safer.

The Prachovské skály are a good choice if you want to go outside the mountains and get to know a different type of landscape during your stay in the Giant Mountains. Bohemian Paradise is easily accessible by car from the cottage, and the trip can be combined with, for example, Jičín, Troské or Hruboskalsk.

Practical tips

Parking

Parking lots are paid. In high season, it pays to arrive in the morning, as there may be more visitors at the entrances in the afternoon.

Snacks

You can find refreshment options at the entrance and in the surrounding area. Opening hours may vary by season.

The best time

The best time is in the morning or later in the afternoon, when there are fewer people in the rocks and the light is more suitable for photography.

Appropriate footwear

We recommend firmer footwear. The terrain is stony in places, with steps and narrow passages.

Great for photographers

Viewpoints, steps between rocks, pine trees and sandstone towers offer plenty of beautiful shots.
